When God takes something away from our grasp, He’s not punishing us but merely emptying our hands for us to receive something better.

“Why would I sleep if I’ll get a lot of it when I die… There’s too much to do rather than sleeping.” — motto of a student nurse. Hehe.

God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifes the called.

The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your GOD will bless you in the land He is giving you. — Deut. 28:8

It is not our feasting with the wicked that typically robs us of our hunger for God, but the constant nibbling at the table of the world that leaves us so full that prevents us of the appetite of God.

We sometimes think that we never did anything good. We sometimes think that our deeds were never good enough.

Think again.
